DOUBLE CHIN LIPOSUCTION
If you have a double chin and are looking for ways to get rid of it, a plastic surgeon may recommend neck liposuction, neck lift surgery, or a combination of both.
There’s no one specific double chin surgery, but instead a combination of approaches that can remove excess fat and tighten neck skin to create a firmer, more defined chin and neck area.

PREPARATION
Before the procedure, discuss with your surgeon what to expect from the operation. The surgeon will review your medical history and ask you about any medical conditions you have and any medications or supplements you may be taking. Our specialist will advise you to stop taking certain medicines, such as blood thinners at least three weeks before the operation. You may need some laboratory tests before the procedure.
Before the liposuction, the surgeon will mark circles and lines on the areas of the neck that presents interest. Photos will also be taken so that before and after images can be compared. How the liposuction procedure is performed depends on the specific technique used. The beautician will select the appropriate technique based on the objectives and the areas of your neck.
POST-PROCEDURE
After your procedure it is normal to expect some swelling, bruising and discomfort following the procedure and may also feel very tight. If you have facial drains to reduce blood and fluid buildup in your neck, your surgeon will schedule another appointment to remove these after a day or two.
Your surgeon may recommend applying antibiotic ointment to any incision areas. They’ll usually recommend avoiding the sun or getting excess amounts of water on the face and chin for a few days.
The recovery time for chin liposuction, this is usually a few days to a week before returning to work, depending on the recommendation from your surgeon.
