STAGES OF THE PROCEDURE
Here is a general overview of the steps involved in the procedure:
HARVESTING
The first step of your surgeon will be to shave the area at the back of your head to obtain a clearer view of the hair follicles to be harvested. Before starting the harvesting, you will be given a local anesthetic so that you won’t feel the harvesting or the implantation.
IMPLANTATION
Once the follicles have been harvested from the scalp, the surgeon will inject a local anesthetic into the area of the face where the implants will be placed. Then, the surgeon will implant each follicle into the facial skin, shaping your new beard as agreed between you and the doctor before the operation.
RECOVERY
You will need one day to recover after the beard implantation procedure. Small crusts may form around each newly implanted hair follicle, but these should fall off within a few days.
After approximately one week, you should be able to start shaving normally.

DHI METHOD
DHI is a technique in which hair transplantation is performed directly. The most important difference in this procedure is the use of a special device called the Choi pen. Due to the way the Choi pen is used, DHI is also known as the “hair implant with pen.”
The grafts harvested from the donor area are placed into this special pen and then implanted into the affected area. The pens used in the DHI technique open channels for transplantation and implant the grafts at the same time. This way, the procedure for each implant is completed in a single step, instead of two. All of these aspects reflect the success of the intervention.
