How IVF treatment works
Assessment — history, tests, plan
Your fertility specialist reviews your history and tests, then plans a cycle suited to your situation. Your coordinator confirms every practical detail with you in writing before you travel.
Through your cycle
A cycle involves stimulation and monitoring, egg collection and embryo transfer, with your coordinator supporting each step. Your specialist explains what to expect and is honest about the factors that affect outcomes.
Support and follow-up
You are supported before, during and after your cycle, with clear guidance and follow-up. The team answers your questions at every stage.
Who Turkey’s IVF programme treats
The programme is built around couples starting treatment with their own personalised plan. Your coordinator prepares your travel paperwork and appointments with you before you fly — nothing is left for you to work out once you arrive.
Whether IVF is the right route for you is a medical decision, taken by the doctor once your history and your test results have been read. Send your file and you have a written second opinion within 48 hours. Age is the single biggest factor in IVF, so the sooner your file is reviewed, the more options are open to you.
What IVF costs in the UK, and what it costs in Turkey
In the UK, a self-funded IVF cycle typically costs considerably more than the same treatment in Turkey — and extras such as ICSI are often billed separately, on top of the headline figure. In Turkey, your price is the one shown in the panel above, and it is confirmed to you in writing before you commit to anything: one figure, agreed up front.
Up to six instalments at 0% interest are available, and your written offer sets out exactly what your cycle includes.
What one IVF cycle involves
Preparing for egg collection
A full cycle takes around three to six weeks. It starts with medicine — an injection or nasal spray each day for two to three weeks — that pauses your natural cycle, followed by around two weeks of daily injections that increase your egg supply. Your response is followed on ultrasound throughout, and your coordinator keeps you and your own GP’s notes in step.
Egg collection and fertilisation
Your eggs are collected at the clinic with a fine needle, in a short procedure. Your partner gives a sperm sample, usually while your eggs are being collected, and the eggs are fertilised in the laboratory the same day.
Embryo transfer
A few days later an embryo is placed in your womb through a thin, soft tube. A pregnancy test follows about sixteen days after the transfer. Your coordinator stays in contact with you through every one of these steps, in English.
Success rates, and what shapes them
Success in IVF is shaped most by your age, your own history and the experience of the team treating you. Your cycle here is planned and carried out by experienced fertility specialists in JCI-accredited partner hospitals, with the plan built around your own test results rather than a standard template.
That is exactly what the 48-hour second opinion is for: send your file and you receive a written medical read of your situation and the plan proposed for it.
What your cycle in Turkey includes
One cycle covers your consultation, monitoring, egg collection and embryo transfer, with coordinator and translator support throughout. Medication and any additional services are quoted after your assessment, so the figure you are given is the figure you pay. You receive an official written price with your enquiry.
Which hospital will I be treated in?
Treatment takes place in JCI-accredited partner hospitals. The hospital and the doctor are matched to your file after your results are reviewed, and both are named in the written plan you receive before you travel — you always know where you are going and who will be treating you.

Who can have IVF in Turkey?

What are the chances of success?
Outcomes depend on many personal factors, and no clinic can promise a result. Your specialist reviews your situation and explains honestly what is realistic for you.

Is Turkey good for IVF treatment?
Turkey is a long-established destination for couples travelling from the UK for IVF. Treatment here takes place in JCI-accredited partner hospitals, and an English-speaking coordinator is with you from the first call until you are home. Whether it is the right route for you specifically is a medical question — send your file and the doctor answers it in writing within 48 hours.
What is the best IVF clinic in Turkey?
The right unit is the one whose team and laboratory suit your history and your test results, so we make that decision the other way round: your file is read first, then the JCI-accredited partner hospital and the doctor are matched to it. Both are named in the written plan you receive before you travel.
