PREPARATION
The procedure is usually performed under anaesthesia, but in procedures where a smaller volume of fat is transferred, it can only be done with local anaesthesia.
Your surgeon then uses liposuction to remove fat from other areas of the body, such as the hips, abdomen, and thighs.
The fat deposits that have just been removed from the body are purified and prepared for injection into the buttocks. Your surgeon will inject the processed fat into specific areas of the buttocks to create a more rounded full look. Generally around three to five incisions are made around the buttocks for fat transfer.
Lastly your surgeon will apply a compression garment to the affected areas of the skin to reduce the risk of bleeding.
POST-PROCEDURE
As with any cosmetic surgery you will need to take special care after a BBL. You will not be able to sit on your buttocks for two weeks after the operation, and you will have to sleep on your stomach until the area heals completely.
The buttocks may be swollen for several weeks as you recover from surgery to within a few months.
It may take up to six months to see the full results of the original procedure. You can ensure a positive result by making sure that your weight does not fluctuate over time.
